Now that the holidays are over and all the over eating has come to an end, it time to get ready for spring.  No matter if you are looking to lose a few pounds or get a new hairdo, research your options.

If planning to lose weight research food options and exercise progams, make it a life style change instead focusing on the scale.  A few good healthy life changes starts a new outlook.  That also goes for new hair style, checkout the stylist and what hair services they provide. Are you looking to change hair color, shorter hair cut or hair extensions, consultations are very important.

So start a new healthy life style.

Picking the right size curling iron

Hello Everyone.

What Size Curling Iron Should You Use? Depending on what your style is, you might find it easier to achieve the exact look you want with the proper sized curling iron.

Your hair stylist will be able to give you the best advice, so always ask for styling tips so that you can achieve the perfect look on a daily basis.

½ INCH – has a tiny barrel and is designed to create tight ringlets. This is perfect for some of those retro styles that are trending now.

¾ INCH – Slightly larger than the previous iron, this size is an excellent choice to perfect the look for those who enjoy naturally curly hair. Sometimes those natural curls have a mind of their own. Taking a couple moments to curl eight to ten pieces of one-inch segments of hair surrounding your face to achieve a beautifully polished finish to your look.

1 INCH – By default, this is the most commonly preferred size iron, allowing hair to be wrapped securely around the barrel but not in a super tight spiral. It’s versatile in depending on how you wrap your hair segments around the barrel or how you hold the iron. You can have either a polished look or a touseled, just in from nature look.

1-1/4 INCH – The larger barrel creates bigger curls resulting in waves that speake of volumes of hair. It will work for medium to long hairstyles.

1-1/2 INCH – For those of you who have long and somewhat heavy hair, this iron provides much-needed lift at the roots of the hair. Take a section at a time at the top of the head, curling them parallel to the ground, then clip the resulting curl in place until cooled. With the top sections curling, work on the lower segments in a vertical or perpendicular angle to the floor.

1-3/4 INCH - This gives fewer bends or curls depending on the length of your hair. It gives a sweet touseled “slept-in” appearance. Great for touchups.

2 INCH – This is about the same size as a round brush. This can help achieve a fresh “blow-out” look without taking the time to wash your hair.

So ladies now you can get the looks at home your stylist gives you.
Have an awesome day.

Taking care of Your Hair Extensions

I hope you all had an amazing Halloween! This year is flying by, and before you know it ThanksGiving will be here.

I love the smell of Apple pie cooking and homemade dressing, wishing all the food I eat does'nt go straight to my

hips. So this year I will be eating in moderation.  And with the holidays approaching the weather is changing

and Time has gone back one hour so make sure to get the rest you need. With the weather change make sure to

protect and nourish your hair extensions.

Hair Extensions require maintenance, here are a few tips on maintaining them:

Avoid using harsh products, especially alcohol based products that can make the hair dry.

Use a silk or satin scarf or pillow case to sleep on.

Make sure to comb or brush hair before washing to prevent tangling and always use a moisturizing conditioner on

the extension hair.

If you wash your hair before bed, make sure your hair is dry. Going to bed on wet extensions can cause them to

tangle.

Your extensions will last longer with regular tightenings and proper maintenance.
